Shura in Chalgar and ANA handing out school supplies

Brigadier-General Dean Milner, Commander of Task Force Kandahar (TFK) attends a Shura in the village of Chalghar in the Panjwa’i District, with Hajji Baran, Panjwa’i District Governor and Brigadier-General Ahmed Habibi, Commander 1-205 Corps, Afghan National Army, to discuss with village locals their the needs for improvement within the village on November 23rd 2010. Operation ATHENA is Canada’s participation in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. Focused on Kandahar Province in southern Afghanistan since the fall of 2005, Op ATHENA has one over-arching objective: to leave Afghanistan to Afghans, in a country that is better governed, more peaceful, and more secure.
